9 Beauty Must Haves
I’ll admit that my daily beauty routine consists of getting my butt out of bed, rushing to get dressed, and hitting my lips with some good lip gloss. I admire those who take the time every morning to beat their face to perfection. I’m just not one of those girls! I don’t want to give up that extra hour of sleep to do my makeup. However, it doesn’t mean that I don’t ever wear makeup or that I don’t have a few tried and true products that I love.
In honor of National Lipstick Day, here are 9 Beauty Product Must Haves that I’m currently loving
First Aid Repair Cream Moisturizer:
The BEST face cream for dry sensitive skin. This product has no fragrance and works great as a hydrator for dry skin. This is the only moisturizer I use on my face.
Too Faced The Little Black Book of Bronzers:
Mix and match or change bronzers for the occasion. Works well for all skin tones. I like wearing bronzers when I travel to tropical climates. It gives me the perfect coverage without me having get in full drag.
Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips
This works great as a night time lip moisturizer. I use this at night before bed to wake up with soft lips. I also keep some at work
Eyeko London Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
Every time I use this eyeliner it accentuates my eyes perfectly. With every use, the waterproof formula gives me a perfect cat eye.
Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tar
Obsessive Compulsive is another brand I learned about at the makeup show last year Bold, long lasting color! I wore the lip tar all day with no touch-up. A little goes along way!
Philosophy Senorita Margarita Body Wash
Although this is not technically a beauty product it could be considered the prequel to getting beautiful. Hands down my favorite shower gel from Philosophy. Really, who doesn’t want to smell like a sweet margarita?
Stila Lip Glaze
I keep sets and trios of Stila lip glaze because I carry them everywhere. I have them all over the house, in my purse, and at work. They are also good gifts for houseguest, traveling companions, and Christmas stocking stuffers.
Urban Decay Electric Palette
When I do wear makeup, I go for bold! I hardly ever wear nice neutral shades unless I’m going to a wedding or some formal event. The electric palette is highly pigmented and the colors pop against caramel and chocolate skin tones.
I wear acrylic tips; however there are occasions when I give my natural nails a break. During this time is often when something pops up that I need my nails to look go for. That’s when I turn to static nails; I refer to these beautifully designed nails as upscale press ons. I learned of this brand at the Chicago Makeup show and I love the various designs.
Magnolia Makeup Velour Galore -Sirahbi
It’s not often that I get a chance to sport blue lips, but when I do Magnolia Makeup Velour lips in the color Sirahbi does the trick. Their colors are rich, creamy, and eye catching. Magnolia Makeup is an African-American brand based in NOLA (New Orleans, LA).
